BIOX Anti-Microbial Additives are specialised functional chemicals incorporated directly into base materials — plastics, paints, rubbers, textiles, and composites — to deliver continuous inhibition of microbial growth including bacteria, fungi, mold, algae, yeast, and viruses.

HOW SILVER
IONS PROTECT
The BIOX protection mechanism is based on a well-established scientific principle — silver ions disrupt microbial activity at the cellular level, preventing colonisation and killing microbes on contact.
Controlled Release: Silver ions slowly released from the zeolite or glass matrix — sustained protection throughout product lifetime.
Membrane Disruption: Silver ions attack microbial cell walls, disrupting metabolic activity and preventing reproduction.
Permanently Embedded: The additive becomes part of the material structure — protection cannot be removed by washing, abrasion, or UV exposure.
Non-Leaching Safety: Released only in effective concentrations — safe for food-contact and regulated environments.
