जो कधीही नष्ट होत नाही आणि विघटनाला बळी पडत नाही, तो अक्षर. त्याचे अस्तित्व अखंड, शाश्वत आणि काळाच्या पलीकडचे आहे. वेदांतात अक्षर हे परम सत्याचे एक महत्त्वपूर्ण नाव मानले जाते.
